About the event
“Neighbors in Harmony” is a heart‑opening Unity Picnic designed to remind people how powerful simple human connection can be. Families, volunteers, elders, kids, newcomers, and longtime Dallas residents gather on the grass beside the lake to share food, laughter, and stories.
Guests bring blankets, baskets, and their favorite dishes — but no one is required to bring anything. Soup Angels hosts a welcoming community table overflowing with fresh fruit, sandwiches, lemonade, and your signature Angel Dust–seasoned snacks.
The event includes:
A Unity Welcome Circle where everyone introduces themselves
A “Pass the Story” moment where each person shares one sentence of something hopeful
A Kids’ Kindness Corner with coloring sheets and chalk art
